Aqua-vit, meaning water for life in latin, is a fictional Danish liquor brand that aims to raise funds for safer boat immigrant travels across the Mediterranean Sea. Collaborating with the Doctors Without Borders rescue initiative, it aims to strike an emotional chord with the Danish people, reminding them of the Danish sea rescue of Jews during WW2 and drawing a comparison with the need to help immigrants safely cross the Mediterranean sea today.
The visual identity is based on the concept of a human tapestry and records both the loss of immigrant at sea in 2024 (7,000) and the number code of the rescue boats from Doctors Without Borders that navigate daily to rescue immigrants.
